April Bridge Letter 2009

Well not much news except about our month in Lanzarote with Bridgeoverseas.

We had a splendid month, good weather and good company.
Diana Panniers aided by Wendy Williams made the whole holiday very enjoyable.
The bridge winners were notably
Anne and Michael Saunders who managed to come top most evenings, closely followed by
Jan and Robin Sharp who turned up for the second half to give them a run for their money.
Terry and I managed to win the teams event with David and Ann Ellis but otherwise did not distinguish ourselves, too much sun and vino perhaps?
Two couples had been last year,
James Degning and Agnes Kerr, Bert Gearing and Barbara Huxstep
It was nice to renew our acquaintance and we are all looking forward to next year…..nothing like forward planning!

Diana Panniers reminded us that the weekend of June 12, 13and 14th is the date of the Swansea Charity Pairs so we are hoping to get down to South Wales for this event.
